Meet the Founder

I'm a Miami native, an ocean enthusiast, and I started this foundation because I've seen firsthand what plastic pollution does to our water. I have a degree in Sociology from the University of Florida and a background in hospitality and marketing, and I've spent much of my life diving and spearfishing with my family around Florida and the world.

Last year I spent about a month diving and clearing marine debris around remote Indonesian islands. From the Pacific Garbage Patch to the shores of South Florida, plastic is everywhere. The average person now carries enough microplastics to equal a plastic spoon, and that number is up 50% in eight years.

This isn't about saving the ocean anymore. It's about saving ourselves. People protect what they see, know and love, and I believe that together we can make waves, not waste.
